<title>10/18/2009: Poll: Experiences with GPP/ProxyDLL on Windows7</title>
<description>
There have been problems reported using the GPP package on Windows7. While it works with a certain application on XP and Vista, the same config fails on W7. To get an overview, please drop me a short note (miko@mikoweb.de) if you have the GPP/ProxyDLL running on W7 - or if you failed in trying to do so. Thanks.

<title>10/9/2009: DXSPather - DXStudio Pathfinding DLL</title>
<description>
My first take on a pathfinding DLL for DXStudio can now be found in the "DXStudio Goodies" section. This one does feature "oneCall" calculation of a path, but has no threading in yet (so, long paths/big waypoint arrays could lead to slow-down effects. It still is significantly faster than doing calculations in JS script, though).

<title>9/13/2009: PacWars - A DXStudio Competiton Entry</title>
<description>
Finally, I submitted my entry to the DXStudio Summer Demo Contest, ending Sept.17. Trying to build a networked 3D space sim, taking Jumpgate Classic by Netdevil as a role model (especially for the inflight controls). Sadly, I could not even bring in half of all the features originally planned, due to time restrictions and personal availability. Well, as a demo, it might do. Note that it does not even show half of all the possibilities the DXStudio engine offers (especially, in the 'quality graphics part'). The file is available for download here, too.

<title>6/28/2009: GPP1.5 Source Code Available NOW!</title>
<description>
There still seems to be some interest in the proxy-dll concept, as questions and requests drop in from time to time. I'm not actively working on it anymore, due to personal time restrictions. So, I'd like to give others a head-start and use the 'GPP' package as a base (DX8 and DX9 versions). It was held 'private' up to now. The complete code of this application, using the proxy-dll approach, is now marked 'public domain' and ready to download. As before, I'd be very interested in what the concept is used for, so drop me a line if you use it (no further implications).

<title>6/13/2009: New experimental DDraw7 proxy-dll version available</title>
<description>
Shane sent me a base implementation of the IDDrawSurface7 interface for the DDraw7 proxy dll (which hasn't been in so far). Along with my own code additions, this is now working to some extent. Some applications can stand proxy'd Surface7, some can't, as it seems. The problem might be a mixup of original and 'faked' pointers somewhere. At tests, crashes happened when an app was using Clipper regions. Feel free to play with the code and use it as a base for your own testings.
